Believe Belange are UK agents different in US. Not good!

  • Reply to: Redivider: film sales news   1 year 9 weeks ago

So agree with all of the above comments. Sad for Dan,don,t blame him for leaving Downtom he wanted to move on. Criticism of advisers seems to have begun some time ago, so good to see his followers support but no comments yet from so called advisers. Come on Belange Dan deserves better!

  • Reply to: Redivider: film sales news   1 year 9 weeks ago

Comments, as shown in above. No, they are not doing their best for him. His "Advisors" or Management team are totally useless, and they are not doing Dan any favours. Dan wanted to move to USA to expand and use his considerable talents, but apart from Broadway and "The Heiress", he has become totally inaccessable to his followers. Get rid of these losers Dan, and buy yourself out of these crap organisations. Lets see, once again, what you can do when given the chance. The films you have made may be aimed at a certain market, but not for the general public, and are so violent they are a turn-off.
You were at the top of your game in Downton, and tho' you had your reasons for leaving, in hindsight, what a pity.
You had the world at your feet then Dan. Regain the public you have lost. Its not a question of Dan Stevens, its "who is Dan Stevens". Sorry but it had to be said.

Was surprised to see on website questions raised about Dan,s US advisers, like new looks for him and his wife! These were comments from 2012 and 2013!. Are they really doing the best for him, especially with ads and promotions he,s doing now?

  • Reply to: Redivider: film sales news   1 year 9 weeks ago

Looking back over Dan,s website it would appear that fans both in UK and US were questioning some of his representatives decisions over 3 years ago. To the extent that there were fears that he would become a Hollywood dummy. Given Dan,s intelligence,I can,t see this happening... He seriously needs to think how he appears to be not served too well by his management team or advisers.

  • Reply to: Redivider: film sales news   1 year 9 weeks ago

From Shakespeare, Noel Coward, and more modern plays Dan has always had good reviews. Seems as though some part of his management team US? only want him to appear in US. Why no show on tv when in UK? OK perhaps not Loose women, but Graham Norton or a quick appearance on the One Show would have been appreciated.

  • Reply to: Redivider: film sales news   1 year 9 weeks ago

So agree about management team. Whether this is due to US team or that in UK, although did read somewhere his ?team? did not like him talking about certain matters. US audiences may be unaware of Dan,s theatre record apart from The Heiress. Fear that with present management Dan wil only end up as a clothes horse in mediocre hard to access films. He.such a good actor deserves better. As someone said he càn,t let Cumberbatch pinch all the best roles!

  • Reply to: Redivider: film sales news   1 year 9 weeks ago

Agree with the lack of movies made by Dan, but we in the UK do not get to see these films. Bad choices Dan? Or just lack of a good Management team. You need to get back on the stage Dan and do some Shakespeare here in the UK, then audiences can see just how good you are. You are wasted in the films so far. Looking forward to Beauty and the Beast next year. Sorry if this is bad news Dan, but you really do need better representation. No offence intended.
You are so much better than the movies you appear in. Trust me.

Agree frustrating to hear about these new films then nothing. These films sound good, not cgi blockbuster rubbish. Guess it all comes down to money in the end. Would lkove to see Dan in theatre again in Uk.

  • Reply to: Redivider: film sales news   1 year 10 weeks ago

I really hope that we hear news of Redivider release, also Oppenheimer Strategies, Colossal, Permission, & The Ticket, very soon. We know Beauty & The Beast will be released March 2017 but it would be great to see some of these other films before then!

Thanks for highlighting this post. Dan has the ability to look good whether casual or formal, puts his own style to whatever he wears.

From what is on website Dan is busy filming. Has said before that he wants to do more theatre. Agree would like to have seen him in Shakespeare, cant let Cumberbatch pinch all the best roles!

Looks like a good film, but so frustrating waiting for release date in UK. Then to find its gone to dvd or has limited showing, happening too often. We dont all want the the big cgi films with their hype and over exposure.

I totally get and understand that you wanted to leave Downton Abbey. I only hate when and how you did it. After almost three whole seasons of Matthew and Mary's struggles, together you finally reach happiness, Lord Grantham is conceding to all your ideas for Downton Abbey and you have a new baby. Couldn't you have shown the fans just a few more episodes of happiness before your demise. It would have been much easier to take if the fans had seen just 2-3 more episodes of happiness after all the turmoil.

From a new viewer of Downton Abbey who was extremely disappointed with your timing.

When will it be available in some form for the rest of us to see it

Bit disappointed Dan not doing Shakespeare for 400 anniversary. So good, and also playing in Noel Coward. Not cool enough now?

Dan seems to have an increasing popularity not just in US and UK. Maybe if admirers keep asking for wider distribution of films those who arrange these things might just take notice and act.At the end of the day it must be better to have an audience than just just working for little return.

  • Reply to: The Ticket: first poster, stills and interview with Dan   1 year 14 weeks ago

I am always eager to see Dan Stevens in a new film but unfortunately not all are shown at the movie theaters and sometimes are not even available on-line/DVD. Makes me sad, so I agree, I hope this film is distributed at least in N. America to major cities because I'll be there!

  • Reply to: The Ticket: first poster, stills and interview with Dan   1 year 14 weeks ago

This sounds as if it could be the best from Dan in a movie. So hope it has wide distribution in cinemas and not just in US or straight to DVD.

Good to see these again. Miss seeing Dan on tv and in radio plays. Hoping for a repeat of Line of Beauty, he was brilliant in that.

"Vor allem Dan Stevens, der in der Serie „Dowton Abbey“ den zum Großgrundbesitzer avancierten Protagonisten Matthew Crawley verkörpert, ist hier in einer ganz anderen Rolle auf der Leinwand zu sehen - und dabei stark wie nie zuvor." Focus Online zu „Criminal Activities“

Over 2000 pounds worth of gear? Dan looks just as good in sweater and jeans. Hated ghastly pale grey shiny suit with black edges he wore once.Always manages to look cool, however.

Now available for download from iTunes UK, & DVD due for release March 7th.
Without giving anything away this film is brilliant - Dan's Noah shows us yet again how versatile an actor he is.
